Egypt: June 30 Front Delegates ElBaradei As Voice of Revolution

Organizers of the "Tamarod" (Rebel) campaign which called for the mass demonstrations that have swept Egypt since Sunday have delegated leading opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei as the "voice of the June 30 wave".

The June 30 Front authorized the prominent Nobel Laureate on Tuesday to represent the opposition in negotiations with authorities to guarantee that the people's demands are answered and draft a roadmap for Egypt's political transition.

The front said that the delegation comes to confirm earlier authorizations granted to ElBaradei who is the International Atomic Energy Agency's former director.

ElBaradei is also a senior member in Egypt's main opposition alliance, the National Salvation Front.

The front expressed optimism with how Egyptians have finally united and said, "We trust that our unity is the condition for victory and the guarantee for the revolution's continuation."
