MAURITIUS and Seychelles become the first teams to arrive for the Confederation of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup Zambia tournament that kicks off on Saturday in Lusaka.
Seychelles, who play Namibia in Group A on the third day of the tournament, were the earliest to arrive around 01:00 hours on Wednesday while Mauritius, who are also in the same group, was expected in around 21:00 hours aboard a South Africa Airways flight.
Namibia, who play the first game of the tournament against Mauritius at Nkoloma Stadium at 14:30 hours are scheduled to arrive around midday today while Equatorial Guinea, who were the fourth team in this group, withdrew.
Group B has Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland following Kenya withdrew from the tournament as guest team. Hosts Zambia joins the tournament in the quarter finals along with South Africa, champions Zimbabwe, Angola and Mozambique who are all seeded teams.
The Herve Renard side goes into camp tomorrow ahead of their quarter final match against Mozambique on July 14 at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
