Ethiopia: IMF Says Govt Policies Have a Key Role in Ethiopia's Economic Growth

Prime Minister Hailemariam has held a meeting with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Mr. Kal Wajid, Division Chief .Mr. Wajid underlined the importance of the role of the Government's development polices in the country's rapid economic growth over the past decade.

While appreciating the impressive achievements of the policies and strategies of the Government, Mr. Wajid indicated that the IMF's suggested that growth this year would not exceed 7%; the Government forecasts 11% growth for this fiscal year. Mr. Wajid also emphasized the need to pay more attention to the development of the private sector.
