Namibia: SME Incubation Centre Rebranded to Bokamoso

The Small and Medium Enterprise Incubation Centre in Katutura is now known as the Bokamoso Entrepreneurial Centre. The rebranding of the centre was in part warranted by the fact the centre is now governed by an independent body that has its own Board of Trustees.

According to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Utete Karimbue Mupaine, the Trust, along with continued support from the City of Windhoek and other partners, will continue to provide support services for SMEs at the centre. These include the provision of mentorship and training towards sustainable business management. "The role which SMEs play within our economy cannot be overemphasised. It is because of this reason and the fact that we see the potential of our SMEs to produce exceptional products and services and their ability to create employment and contribute to economic growth of a country, that the realisation towards the provision of a nurturing environment for entrepreneurs is so important," said Mupaine.
