Rabat — HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to president of the republic of Cape Verde, Jorge Carlos de Almeida, on his country's Independence Day.

The sovereign reiterates resolve to continue to endeavour with the Cape Verdean president for the consolidation of the privileged cooperation and brotherly relations linking the two countries, in the interest of the two people and of the unity and prosperity of the African continent.

The sovereign also expresses warmest congratulations and best wishes of health and happiness to President de Almeida and of further progress and prosperity to the Cape Verdean people.
