The Minister of Communications Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, while presenting her mid-term ministerial scorecard, spoke with ICT Editors on the state of development in the sector and her focus for the next two years. Emma Okonji presents the excerpts:

The Ministry of Communications Technology is new in Nigeria, and you were appointed as the first Minister in 2011. What could have motivated government in creating the ministry?
