Kenya: State Told to Honour 1997 Deal With Teachers

CIVIL society organisations in Siaya County have appealed to the government to honour the 1997 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the KNUT to end the ongoing teachers strike.

Led by the executive director of Gift Development Organisation Salim Odeny, representatives of the various CSOs have challenged the government to move with speed and solve the impasse that has completely paralyzed learning in public schools across the country.
