Angola: Riot Police Pledges Cooperation in World Cup

Luanda — The Riot Police (PIR) have pledged to cooperate in securing of the 41st World Cup of Roller Skate Hockey in Angola's cities of Luanda and Namibe on 20 - 28 September.

The fact was expressed Tuesday by Police commander Alfredo Quintino Lourenço on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the PIR Consultative Council.

The high ranking police officer said the staff are prepared to guarantee the assurance of the competition in cooperation with other specialities of the corporation.

"Let us make the World Cup, the first to be played in Africa, a success. We believe that the police will focus on the international dimension event", he said.

Angola share group C with counterparts of Portugal, Chile and South Africa.Spain are the current champions.
