Federal government has threatened to dissolve governing councils that use the resources of federal varsities for self-enrichment instead of sourcing more funds for them outside of regular government subvention.
Minister of education Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa'i who opened a two-day retreat of all members of governing councils of 40 federal varsities said as soon a prima facie case is established against any member, government would not hesitate to relief them of their appointment.
