Lisbon — The release of the 1st volume of the book Angola - Birth of a Nation, coordinated by the Portuguese citizens Jorge António and Maria do Carmo Piçarra, and the screening of the film "Blood Trails", by Angolan Mawete Paciência, opened Tuesday the second edition of "Olhares sobre Angola" Perspectives on Angola.
The event that is running through the Wednesday evening at Movie theatre/Museum Cinema in Lisbon (Portugal) aims at encouraging the cultural exchange, assuming a role in the development and promotion of Angolan cinema in Portugal, said the organisation.
The source added that the event is also intended to establish a contemporary and updated vision on Angola.
The first volume of the work "Angola - Nascimento de uma Nação" discusses the history of the former cinema of the empire (current Atlântico cinema).
While, the film "Blood Trails", displayed in Luanda Film Festival, is based on true stories of armed conflict with support of the testimony of some survivors.
