Liberia: 'I Am Touched'

The Managing Editor of the INQUIRER Newspaper, Philip N. Wesseh, says he is touched by the show of gratitude and appreciation by employees of the institution. Mr. Wesseh, who returned over the weekend from the United States, following a visit and medical check-up, commended them for maintaining the family atmosphere that everyone who visited, worked or did business with the institution saw the difference.

Speaking yesterday during a welcome reception held by the employees, Mr. wesseh said he was proud of the level of team work and commitment at the institution. He said it was because of this that in his absence, the paper continued to appear on the market.

He went on: "I believe in division of labor and team work because it is only through this that success comes to an institution; Thank you for holding up the newspaper while I was away."

Mr. Wesseh said that one does not know the impact of journalism, especially journalism through the doors of the INQUIRER Newspaper. He added that when you work hard and are committed in your works you are sure to be recognized by others.

"You may not know that an institution can make you; don't overlook yourself," the Managing Editor of the INQUIRER Newspaper stated.

Mr. Wesseh used the occasion to commend his host, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Seton in the State of Delaware and the Liberian Community in that state for making his stay in the US a success.

Earlier the Business Manager for the INQUIRER Newspaper, Lakpor Boahndao at the welcome reception for Mr. Wesseh said that truly the institution is a family affair with Mr. Wesseh at the helm of that family bond.

Mr. Boahndao continued that Mr. Wesseh makes all the staff and employees of the institution feel like a family to the point that he (Wesseh) involves himself with their personal lives. "He's more than a boss; he's a good friend," Boahndao concluded.

For his part, the Chairman for the INQUIRER Administrative Committee, Augustine Choloply said that Mr. Wesseh is more than a boss to the staff over the years. "You are the father and symbol of the INQUIRER Newspaper, as all the employees beamed with smile for your safe return to the country," he said.
