Namibia/Swaziland: Haikali to Conduct FIFA Course in Swaziland

Windhoek — Fifa-accredited instructor in administration and management, Mathew Haikali of Namibia has been appointed to conduct a 5-day course in Swaziland from July 15.

Haikali, who will facilitate the training of regional representatives of the various football regions in Swaziland will take participants through the ropes in Fifa development programmes, events management, competition, statutes, financial management, communication and planning.

The course, which is a part of the member association capacity development is geared towards developing the administration of the game of football in Swaziland. This is the second time that Haikali has been appointed to facilitate a Fifa administration and management course in Swaziland, following an early stint last year.

"This appointment provides me with an opportunity to grow and learn as an instructor and sports administrator. Following my completion of the Fifa/Cies/NMMU postgraduate diploma in 2012, the course provided me with an obvious view of how sports can contribute to the growth of both individuals and country. And this appointment certainly grants me that opportunity," says Haikali.

"I am very grateful to Fifa and the Fifa development office in Gaborone for this opportunity," he concluded.

The Fifa administration and management course will be attended by administrative representatives of clubs and competition committees of the member association as well as members of the National Football Association of Swaziland. The group will comprise of chairpersons, secretaries and treasurers.
