Kenya: 32,000 Kids Get Polio Vaccine

About 32,000 children in Teso South were given vaccines during an anti-polio campaign that ended on Wednesday. The four-day event vaccinated 13, 756 children below five years in Amukura and 17,757 in Chakol.

District medical officer for health Dr Festus Kigen said they surpassed their target of 27,000 children. The campaign began after Kenya recorded its first case of polio in two years.
