Luanda — The defeat of Angola's male basketball team at the Afrobasket2011, in Madagascar and the losing of the African title for Tunisia was an accident, says the coach of under-16 squad, Manuel da Silva Gi, that considers the national squad as the best African team.

Speaking to Angop on this sport in the continent, Gi said Angola has the best African players with a superior quality in comparison to its opponents, reminding that the defeat in Antananarivo is not a loss of hegemony.

If we play against Tunisia it is sure that we will win, he said, adding that sports have things such this one, people lose and win, but it does not mean that we are inferior. We are the best and we will show this in Abidjan.

In his opinion, Angola work more and organize itself better than one teams, as well as is reinforced for the next Afrobasket set for August this year, in Cote d'Ivoire.
