Bukoba — AUTHORITIES in Kagera Region have appealed for 650m/- to conduct an operation to flush out over 32,000 illegal immigrants hiding in various villages, the Kagera Regional Immigration Officer, Mr George Kombe, has revealed.
He noted that according to a census conducted in 2006, the region had 32,000 illegal immigrants from Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
