Ghana: Bole Lands Not for Sale to Investors - Bolewura

Bole — The Bolewura, Awuladese Pontonprong II, also known in private life as James Adama Mahama, has stated that the Bole Traditional Area does not make outright sale of lands to investors who, he said, are only considered as partners in development.

He said the Traditional Council only releases the land to individuals both home and abroad on agreed terms, and that this was not outright release, but temporary and in appreciation of whatever token the lessee compensates the council with, he made known to the chiefs and elders of the traditional area.
