Liberia: Golden Image Award Must Be Seen As Liberia's Pride - Organizers Say - Call for Total Involvement

Organizers of the Golden Image Award (GIA) founded in 2010 and launched in 2011 say the event is taking a trend that presents it as Liberia's post conflict success story and pride and have craved the involvement of Liberians in ensuring that it becomes a true national identity.

Named in honor President Ellen Johnson for her unstinting, sacrificial and enviable contributions in uplifting the once dampened spirits of women in Liberia and her struggle for political and social justice, the GIA is about valuing and recognizing those who have worked through different channels of positive dimension to change lives in their different localities and other parts of the world.
