Malawi: Salima Chief Blames Gender Inequality On Traditional Practices

Salima — Traditional Authority Mwanza of Salima has lamented the high levels of gender inequality in her area because of traditional beliefs and has since laid out by-laws to end such practices.

Chief Mwanza made the remarks in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) Saturday on the sidelines of a Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (GEWE) social mobilisation campaign at her head quarters.
