Egypt Calls for Tripartite Meeting On Renaissance Dam

The newly appointed Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdul Motileb said that the two ministers of irrigation of Sudan and Ethiopia would be invited anew to visit Egypt with a view to considering the dispute about the negative repercussions of the building of the Renaissance dam.

He also said that such a tripartite meeting aims at reaching urgent solutions to the current crisis to avoid doing harm to the water interests of Egypt and Sudan, noting that the Nile water file should be politically and technically handled to ensure the success of negotiations.
