Angola: Journalist Hails Importance of Promoting Angola in World Cup

Luanda — The Angolan journalist Luís Fernando said on Wednesday in Luanda, to be more important to sell the brand Angola during the rink hockey world cup in September, regardless the sport results that country might get in the event.

The Luís Fernando, who is also a writer, said so to the press during the presentation ceremony of the world cup at Luanda International Trade Fair (FILDA).

The journalist reiterated the need for Angola to seize the opportunity of hosting the competition for the first time in Africa so as to make the country more visible, whose development is recorded in all levels.

Regarding the Angolan national team, Luís Fernando said that it is expected for the country to have modest results in games against Portugal, Spain, Argentina and Italy, however he admits that in sport surprises happen.

To him, Portugal and Spain are the favourites to win the competition, without forgetting Argentina and Italy that may enter the title race.

The 41st Rink Hockey World Cup in Angola will take place on 20-28 September, this year in the provinces of Luanda and Namibe.

Angola and South Africa will open the World Championship of Roller Hockey set to open on September 23 in Luanda.
