Poet and essayist Ikeogu Oke has steadily built a reputation for himself as a poet of note and has penned several poetry collections including "Where I was Born", "Salute without Guns" and his latest, "In the Wings of Waiting". In this interview with Sunday Trust, he talks about how poetry pays him and other issues.
Your latest poetry collection, In the Wings of Waiting, has been praised by Nobel Laureate Nadine Gordimer as a bold offering from a daring poet. How does that praise make you feel?
