São Paulo — Angolan delegates in São Paulo State (Brazil) said that they were happy with the warm welcome and solidarity extended by the Brazilian people.
The satisfaction was expressed by Angolan young people and faithful integrating the delegation of Angola who were welcomed by Brazilian families, ahead of missionary week of preparation for World Youth Day (WYD).
The event will take place under the motto "Go and make disciples of all nations "and will mark the Pope Francis' meeting with more than two million young people from 165 nations of the world.
Some pilgrims told Angop that this gesture is the evidence of church's great strength to boost unity among peoples and charitable dimension and solidarity of the São José dos Campos' people who responded to the call of the church to host more than 500 thousand pilgrims from various countries.
In his turn, the Angolan priest, Jorge Marques considered the move an experience to be learnt by Angolans, with a view to rescue the solidarity values lost along the armed conflict that hit the country over ten years.
Angola is attending the event for 11th time consecutive.
