This foundation, which will be known as the Ras Sheehama Foundation will not cater to specific people but will benefit a broad range of community organisations. "We are starting off small in order to show the corporate world what we can do on our own and thereafter we grow," he says.
The foundation will need aid from the public as well as other donors in the form of money, clothes or even musical instruments that will be distributed to up-coming musicians who are struggling to make it. A gala event is scheduled for September where the foundation will officially be launched. A board of directors, which includes musicians and business individuals is already in existence to oversee the activities of the foundation. Plans to hold bi-monthly charity events are also in the pipeline and all this is aimed at giving back to communities and empowering the poor.
