Nigeria: Jonathan Honours Nigeria's 4x400M Olympic Gold Medallists With N5Million Each, Others

Sunday Bada and the other five athletes will also get national honours. President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday honoured the Nigerian 4x 400m men relay team that won gold at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

The team only recently got its gold medal after Olympic organisers stripped the former winners of the gold medal for failing a dope test. Each of the six team members, led by Sunday Bada, is to get N5 million each while their two coaches get N7 million each.

All of them are also to get National Honours.
