Egypt Wants to Boost Economic and Commercial Relations With Angola

The Egyptian ambassador to Angola, Gamal Metwally, on Wednesday here expressed his country willingness to strengthen the economic and commercial relations with Angola, highlighting that in the political domain the ties are very good, Angop has learnt.

The diplomat also said that he hopes that after the restoration of stability in his country, the economic and commercial interchange between the two countries must be strengthened at the same level of the political domain because it has a strong partnership in all organisations.

Gamal Metwally also said that Egypt is a member of the AU peace and security council, both countries co-ordinate and operate together seeking solutions in all African crises, as well as mutually supporting their candidates running posts in regional and international organisations.

Unfortunately, he said it doesn't happen in the economic domain.

The ambassador said that for this reason, the two sides are trying to conclude slowly two important accords. The first one is to set a joint commission between Angola and Egypt and the second is for the creation of mechanisms to sign an accord of political concert.
