Liberia: Guannu, Dopoe to Speak On Liberia's History

The Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives (LMDI) has announced the holding of the latest session of its media and community outreach blended outdoor interactive forum, THE DIALOGUE with focus on the history of Liberia's founding, the community outreach program takes place on Friday, July 26 2013.

As part of a nationwide public awareness project on the rationale of Vision2030 with support from Trust Africa, the LMDI says its latest session of THE DIALOGUE will be held in Careysburg District, Montserrado County.

The Director of LMDI, John Kollie said the forum will be an intellectual debate style gathering among Liberian historians, public administrators and social scientists.

According to him, intellectual panelists expected on the DIALOGUE session include Liberian Historian and Writer, Dr. Joseph Saye Guannu, Social Scientist and Lawyer, Gonsahn-Zeo Mensah and Public Administrator and Comedian, Professor Jones Dopoe.

The panelists and audience will interact on the topic: LIBERIA: ITS FOUNDING, CURRENT STATE AND FUTURE, THE CASE OF VISION 2030 AND ITS AGENDA FOR TRANSFORMATION, ARE THE DREAMS ACHEVEABLE UNDER THE PREVAILING STATE OF GOVERNANCE? They will also explore the detailed concept: Is Liberia truly Independent, are there prospects for achieving its dreams under Vision 2030 and the attending Agenda for Transformation (AFT) and was Liberia's non-colonization an inducement for its growth or today's under-development amongst its peers in the comity of independent nations?
