Western Sahara: Vice-President of Government of Murcia Confirms Support for Struggle of Saharawi People

Murcia — The Vice-President of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Campos Sanchez, confirmed Tuesday Murcia's support for the struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence, during a meeting with the representative of the Polisario Front in Murcia, Mohamed Labat.

Manuel Campos Sanchez confirmed the commitment of Murcia to work to alleviate the suffering of the Sahrawi refugees, as well as its support for the program "Holidays in peace."

He also stressed the importance of continuity of contact between the Government of the Region of Murcia and the Polisario Front representation.

On his part, Mohamed Labat informed his interlocutor on the current situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and the violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan occupying forces.

The Saharawi representative also urged all democratic institutions of Murcia to put pressure on Morocco to respect international law.
