Tunisia: Deputy Mohamed Brahmi Shot Dead

Tunis — Deputy and General Co-ordinator of the People's Trend Mohamed Brahmi was shot dead on Thursday in his car, in front of his home at El Ghazala district, in the city of Ariana.

The news has been officially confirmed by the Interior Ministry via its spokesman Mohamed Ali Aroui.

The victim was transferred to the Ariana Mahmoud el Materi hospital, where a medical source confirmed his death to TAP news agency.

Late Mohamed Brahmi was already dead when he was admitted to hospital, according to the same source.
