Ghana: Call for State Support for Ghanaian Gold Refiner

Lands & Natural Resources Minister Alhaji Inusah Fuseini visited the Mateheko Accra head office of the only gold refining company in West Africa, ASAP VASA Company Limited, on Tuesday to familiarise himself with its operations.

ASAP VASA, which is fully owned by four Ghanaian entrepreneurs, is said to have the capacity to refine 100 kilogrammes of gold into granules, coins and bars daily, as well as refine125 oz. of raw gold to international quality standard of 999.9% fineness.
