Kenya: Brazilian Week Launches in Nairobi

Brazilian Culture has evolved under many influences, bringing to light the souls of all the peoples who took part in the process of building the Nation. The Africans were one of the most influential, contributing to make Brazilian music and dance lively and its food incredibly tasty and diverse.

The Embassy of Brazil on Monday launched the Brazilian Cultural Week; a festival of music, dance and gastronomy in conjunction with Safari Park Hotel & Casino and the Ethiopian Airlines. The Brazil week will also see the 2nd Brazil in Eastern Africa Expo at the same venue.

Brazilian cuisine for the week presented by chef Erik Nako will consist of traditional dishes and delicacies.

The event was attended by amongst others Brazilian ambassador Marcela Nicodemos and Kenya Toursim Board managing director Muriithi Ndegwa and host Safari Park Hotel general manager Solomon Matiri.
