Somalia: PM Tours Bomb-Hit Turkish Staff Building in Mogadishu

Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon has toured a bomb-hit Turkish staff building in Somalia's capital of Mogadishu, where a suicide car bomb killed three persons and wounded several more including Turkish security personnel on Saturday afternoon, Garowe Online reports.

Prime Minister Shirdon was accompanied by Interior Minister Abdikarin Hussein Gulled, Defense Minister Abdihakin Haji Mohamud Fiqi, Finance Minister Mohamud Awil Suleiman and other Somali Federal Government officials in his tour at the blast site and the Prime Minister's delegation was received by Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Kani Torun at the bomb-hit Turkish residency in Mogadishu.

In a joint press conference at the building by Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon and Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Kani Torun, Prime Minister Shirdon expressed his profound concern over yesterday's suicide attack and sent his condolence to the families of the victims who were killed or wounded in what he described "Futile and terrorist attack".

On his side, Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Kani Torun told that Turkish government will not stop its support to Somali people and their government "We will never stop our tireless efforts to help Somali people recover from years of turmoil and the ongoing Turkey-funded developmental projects will be completed," said Mr. Torun.

During the tour, the Prime Minister met with Turkish staff members and toured the debris caused by the car bomb.

Following the explosion targeted the building housing the staff of Turkish embassy in Mogadishu, Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon held a closed doors security meeting with Mogadishu district commissioners and police station chiefs.

    Devil Terrorist Somalis Govt must find out from which clan they are from?? once you know them from which tribe/clan they are then meet the main Clan which the devil terrorist belong. The 4.5 Clan elders must solve and honestly work with the Govt peace making Group.I am very sure all this Somali devil terrorist is connected with his tribe decion makers. Shame to Govt not refering the reality and frankness to head of 4.5 Clan committee .4.5 Clan Elders are the Roots which all the CURRENT Govt orginated. WHO Created the Govt?? 4.5 Clan Elders,can cooperate with the Govt if Govt consult with the 4.5 CLAN Elders. Govt must understand temparary constitution is for the Govt to adhere. but security and peace is the responsibility of 4.5CLAN Elders.the Govt must meet the 4.5 Clans in a black and white with a clear and loud vision.if u not implement this view then your out of which not in which.
