Eritrea: Youth Nationals in Scandinavia to Enhance Role As Regards Popularizing Cultural Values

Asmara — Youth nationals in Scandinavia stated that they would enhance role as regards popularizing cultural values, besides stepping up participation in national development programs.

They made the pledge at a meeting they conducted with Foreign Minister Osman Saleh in connection with the 15th annual community festival, during which it was stated that the all-round sacrifice paid to attain independence of the nation and safeguard its sovereignty shoulders weighty responsibility to the young generation.

Mr. Osman Saleh noted the major role of youths to this end, and called on the youths to sustain their initiative of backing the national development drive, in which active participation of communities, government bodies and EDF members is being witnessed.

A number of research papers were presented in connection with the festival addressing the citizenry's resistance against hostile agendas, the nation's free political path and women's issues, among others, according to reports.
