Angola: Minister Wants More Companies to Reduce Unemployment

The Minister of Economy, Abrahão Gourgel, defended in Kicolo commune in Luanda the need for emergence of new companies in various economy segments, to reduce unemployment in the country.

The official said so on Wednesday in a meeting with 2250 young people of Kikolo commune, who expressed their preoccupation at the lack of Job.

The minister explained that the Nation Development Plan for 2013/2017 period prioritizes the creation of jobs.

According to him, jobs are not created automatically because it needs financial resources to support the new economic activities and expand the public investment, tasks that are being executed by the Angolan government.

He said that the government is orienting the public investment and this year such investments doubled its amount in relation to 2102, and thus creating offers and opportunities of jobs, both in public and private sector.
