Somalia: Mogadishu Military Court Executes Four Soldiers for Murder

Four soldiers from the Somali National Army were executed Saturday (July 27th) after a military court in Mogadishu found them guilty of murder, Somalia's Garowe Online reported.

Military court chairman Liban Ali Yarow said three of the soldiers were charged with the murder of a military official in Mogadishu on July 7, 2009, while the fourth was charged with the murder of a civilian in May 2012.

According to UN-funded Bar-Kulan, the chairman said other soldiers have also been convicted of murder in the military court and are awaiting execution.
