Western Sahara: President of Republic Condoles Mr. Rajoy Following Santiago De Compostela Train Accident

Bir Lehlou — The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed Thursday, in a letter, his condolences to Mr. Mariano Rajoy , President of the Spanish Government, following the train accident that occurred in the city of Santiago Compostela, which have so far left 80 victims.

The President of the Republic expressed, on behalf of the Saharawi people and government and on his own behalf, solidarity with the Spanish, particularly to the families of the victims and the Galician people.

"It is with deep sadness that we have received the news of the tragedy resulting from a train derailment in Santiago de Compostela," wrote the Saharawi President.

"I wish, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Saharawi people, to convey to you and through you to the families of those killed and injured as well as the generous people of Galicia my heartfelt condolences and solidarity of the Saharawi people," indicated the letter.

This most serious accident in the last 40 years took place Wednesday, July 24th, and has resulted in the death of 80 people.
