Egypt: Industry Minister - Exports to Be Increased to Egp 145 Billion

During his meetings with the heads of the exports councils, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour said that Egyptian exports would be increased to EGP 145 billion at the end of this year.

The Minister noted that exports topped the government's priorities over the coming period, pointing out that the exports are one of the main sources of foreign currency and secure new jobs.

The meeting touched upon problems facing exports.

Head of the Textile Export Council Eng. Hassan Ashra said that a joint committee, including the ministries of industry and agriculture should be formed with the aim of solving problems facing this vital sector.
