Egypt: Morsy Detained for 15 Days On Charges of Communicating With Foreign Bodies

Counselor Hassan Samir, the investigating judge from Cairo Court of Appeals has ordered the detention of ousted President Mohamed Morsy for 15 days pending interrogations.

The investigating judge had questioned Morsy and confronted him with the charges leveled against him.

The list of charges leveled to Morsy includes communication with Hamas movement to undertake hostile activities against Egypt, attacking police officers and soldiers and facilities, storming Egyptian prisons, setting fire to Wadi El Natrun Prison, empowering prisoners to escape, jailbreak, destroying prison records and documents, storming police stations, subverting public buildings, property, killing some prisoners, officers and soldiers, and abducting some officers and soldiers.
