Liberia: CAF Restore Bility's Freedom?

Report reaching New Democrat Sports says the Confederation of African Football has lifted the six- month ban imposed on the Liberia football Association (LFA's) president Musa Bility.

On May 2, 2013, CFA imposed a six-month suspension on LFA MR. Bilty after he was found guilty of using confidential documents.

CAF's Disciplinary Board announced the decision after a meeting in Marrakech, Monaco that Bility would not be allowed to participate in football activities for the next six months and that the Liberian football body will pay a fee of U$10,000.

According CAF's Disciplinary Body, Mr. Musa Bility violated Article 2 and 7 of CAF statues by using its Executive Committee minutes without prior approval from the body.

But according to reports, CAF President Issa Hayatou has declared the ban lifted on Mr. Bility under condition that the Liberia FA endorses all the amendment made by CAF during their meeting in Marrakech, Monaco.

Sources said CAF president reached the decision during a high profile meeting with Liberian in Yaounde, Cameroon adding that Mr. Bility will only be cleared by these condition.

He revealed that CAF's First Vice President Kabenle Camara is due in Liberia shortly to break the news of lifting the ban.

When local football house General Secretary Alponso Amah was contracted on the later report he said "something like that was in the making."

Several football shakeholders who were calling for Mr. Musa Bility to relinquish power as a result of the ban are doubting the credibility of the report claiming that "If CAF clear Mr. Bility of his six months ban it will not be a secret rather it will be widely publicized as it was done on May 2, 2013 and posted on
