The U.S Embassy in Ethiopia has organized a one day business to business matchmaking program which would take place on August 9, 2013, 2merkato.com reported.

The event would also coincide with the 2013 African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum which would be held from August 9-13 in Addis Ababa.

The matchmaking event is aimed to create opportunities for participants to meet with several potential U.S businesses who are looking for Ethiopian partners, wholesalers, distributors and sales representatives.

While the event is open to Ethiopian companies in all sectors, it would particularly focus on agriculture.

Ethiopian companies dealing in farm tools, irrigation systems, grain storage and processing, preservatives, and agricultural computing equipment are encouraged to attend the event.

Ethiopian firms in transportation, energy infrastructure, construction and manufacturing are also encouraged to participate in the event.
