Uganda: Naava Signs With Sony Music

The past months have come with developments that have left industry players unable to wipe the smiles off their faces. The Observer has learnt that multi-talented musician and former Tusker Project Fame contestant Naava Grey is headed for bigger things.

Just last week, she made her fans the happiest when she tweeted about a deal she had signed with Sony Music Entertainment Africa and as she was still praising the Lord for the opportunity, He bestowed on her more favours with another international contract. Naava has also been signed to Rockstar 4000 Music Entertainment, the first Pan-African entertainment agency.

The deal will see the songstress in an exclusive worldwide digital distribution deal, having her music available commercially to a global audience of millions.

Rockstar 4000 through their exclusive partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Africa, will distribute Naava's music to hundreds of digital stores including iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody and mobile carriers such as Samsung Apps, Nokia and Verizon Wireless, among others.

Rockstar 4000 confirmed signing Naava through their social media page.

This deal makes Naava the second Ugandan artiste signed to Rockstar 4000 after Keko late last year. She joins the likes of Nigenian D'banj, DR Congo's Fally Ipupa, Tanzanian Lady Jay Dee and Kenyans Madtraxx and Wyre.

Rockstar 4000 represents more than 200 artistes in more than 23 African countries. it has recently been recognized as one of the top two music companies worldwide by the International Music body - MIDEM, France.
