Rwanda: Body of Dead Discovered in Nyanza

Police in Nyanza are investigating the death of Emmanuel Uwimbabazi, whose body was foundon July 27 floating in the waters of Mukingo dyke in Nyanza district, southern province of Rwanda.

According to clues of evidence collected from the body of the 34-year-old, a resident of Karongi, the deceased is suspected to have committed suicide or accidently drowned while swimming along the dyke.

Jean Pierre Nkundiye, a Mukingo sector official, says that the body has been transferred to Nyanza district hospital for autopsy, which will give clear clues to the cause of the sudden death.

In the meantime, Police in Nyanza have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, gathering information from residents around Nyakabuye village, in Mpanga cell where the body was found.
