Morocco: French President Congratulates HM the King On Throne Day

French president Francois Hollande has sent a message of congratulations to HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the throne day which marks this year the 14th anniversary of the enthronement of the Sovereign.

The French president underlines that Morocco-French relations have been given a decisive impulse since one year, noting that his recent state visit to Morocco, preceded by last December's high-level meetings, chaired by the two countries' heads of government, has helped « define new priorities for the exceptional partnership linking the two countries: youth education and training, sustainable development, the role of law and governance, as well as co-localization".

"As I said in Rabat, France trusts Morocco and deepening our bilateral relations is a priority", said the French president who also hailed Morocco's democratic transition and ambitious reforms meeting the aspirations of the Moroccan people, under the leadership of HM the King.

The French president also reiterated France's "full readiness to continue to support Morocco's efforts", voicing satisfaction that the two countries are "working together at the service of international peace and security, particularly in the African continent."

"It is my pleasure to extend to Your Majesty my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the fourteenth anniversary of your enthronement", the French president's message reads.
