Liberia: Pres. Sirleaf Consoles Spain On Train Tragedy

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to His Majesty, King Juan Carlos, I, King of the Kingdom of Spain on the distressing news of the Santiago De Compostela train wreck which claimed the lives of at least 79 persons with 108 (hundred and eight) others injured.

A Foreign Ministry release quotes the President Sirleaf as saying that through him and to the People of the Kingdom of Spain and the bereaved families that she expressed deepest condolences on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name for the irreparable loss sustained by the Spanish Government and People.

"We in Liberia are extremely saddened by this catastrophe", the Liberian Leader noted in her message. President Sirleaf also prayed that God in His infinite glory will console King Carlos, I and the People of Spain, especially the bereaved families during this difficult time of national mourning.
