Damaturu — Suspected Boko Haram insurgents stormed a construction company's quarry and seized high profile explosives in Bara, Gulani Local government Area of Yobe state, on Sunday night.

A site security guard told Daily Trust the attackers stormed the area around 2.30am but they did not hurt anyone.

"They just asked that we should lead them to the explosives store, and immediately they left we reported the matter to the police. None of us was hurt during the attack," he said.

The guard said that the Anti-bomb squad police attached to the quarry only visits the site once in a while, "and they hardly spend one hour with us "

When contacted, JTF spokesman Eli Lazarus declined comment and referred our correspondent to Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.
