Gambia: State Intends to Consolidate Charges Against, Njogu Bah, Jobarteh & Pa Harry Jammeh

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) S H Barkum, yesterday told the High Court, presided over by Justice Abdulahi Mikailu, that the state intend to consolidate all the criminal charges against the former secretary general and head of Civil Service, who is also the former minister responsible for Presidential Affairs, Njogu Bah, the ex- attorney general and minister of Justice Lamin A M S Jobarteh and the former Solicitor General and Legal Secretary Pa Harry Jammeh.

The DPP made this pronouncement during yesterday's sitting at the High court during the criminal trial involving the trio. The matter however could not proceed as the court observed that the former Secretary General, Njogu Bah, was not present in court prompting the court to adjourn the said case to the next legal term i.e. the 16th, October 2013 for mention.

The erstwhile secretary general and Head of Civil Service, who is also the ex-minister responsible for Presidential Affairs, is jointly charged alongside ex-attorney general and minister of Justice, Lamin AMS Jobarteh and the former Solicitor General Pa Harry Jammeh.
