Angola: Muzongué DA Tradição Programme to Honour Singer Calabeto

Luanda — The Angolan veteran musician Calabeto will be honoured on Sunday (August 4) for his contribution to the valorization, divulgence and preservation of the national music style of Semba during the Muzongué da Tradição programme, set for Kilamba Cultural and Recreational Centre in Luanda.

According to the official in charge of the venue, Estêvão Costa, the homage is a way of recognising the role played by the Angolan artists in sector.

"He is a musician with credits in the Angolan music hall, who has a history marked by great moments in national music, reason why the Kilamba centre within its programme, will provide a simple tribute to a great man of culture in general, and music in particular", he said.

Musician Calabeto has a repertoire with great tracks likes "Nzambi", "Ngolo Yami", "Avante o Poder Popular", "Tussocana Kiebi", "Camarada Presidente", "Nguami Maka", "A Vitória é Certa", "Ngui dia ngui nua" and "Divórcio".
