AMREF and the Chase group foundation is this morning expected to launch a 'Stand Up For African Mothers' Campaign that aims to reduce maternal and newborn deaths in Kenya through training midwives. Over 15 thousand midwives will be trained by 2015 to reduce maternal mortality by 25 percent.
