Tunisia: Presidents of Parliamentary Blocs to Hold Plenary Session On Thursday to Discuss Terrorism Threats

Bardo — "Presidents of parliamentary blocs at the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) decided to hold a plenary session next Thursday to discuss the terrorist attacks and political assassination committed in the country," said Ettakatol bloc President Mouldi Riahi.

The decision was made at a meeting held on Tuesday under chairmanship of Mustapha Ben Jaafar.

In a statement to TAP news agency, Riahi added that "real intentions started to emerge, namely after the recent terrorist attacks and the assassinations of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi. They aim to destabilise the country and throw it into chaos."

A group of 40 deputies at the NCA went, Tuesday, to the National Defense Ministry to offer condolences and ask for further clarifications on the circumstances of the death of eight soldiers during a terrorist ambush in Mount Chaambi on Monday.
