Ethiopia: North Shoa Gets Gypsum Producing Company

A company with a capacity to produce 840 thousand tons of gypsum per annum is to be erected in North Shoa by three Diaspora Ethiopians.

These Diaspora avail 42 million birr to install the factory, and are provided with 1 thousand 9 hundred 42 square kilo meters of land for the investment.

Figures reveal the company would supply job opportunities for more than 100 people.

ERTA learned this as a signing ceremony was held between Ministry of Mines and Famu Industrial PLC. The ceremony brought together Minister Sinkinesh Ejigu and CEO of the Company, Daniel Wondwossen.

The company is intent to produce various gypsum boards and would use domestic inputs for as much as 95 per cent.
