Eritrea: Inhabitants of Logo-Anseba Sub-Zone Engage in Popular Undertaking With a View to Backing Ongoing SWP Activities

Asmara — The inhabitants of Logo-Anseba sub-zone are engaged in a popular undertaking with a view to backing ongoing SWP activities in the locality.

Mr. Tesfai Haile, head of the Education Ministry's branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that the inhabitants are carrying out soil and water conservation as well as afforestation activities in collaboration with 292 participants of the SWP, in addition to renovation of dirt roads and extending labor support to families of martyrs.

Among the inhabitants, Asmelash Zegergish and Ms. Elsa Ristom, head of the Agriculture Ministry's branch in the locality, noted the vitality of teamwork in ensuring effective work accomplishment, and explained that the work executed at the pond in the environs of Debri village attests to this.

Out of the SWP participants, Semhar Keleta, Ermias Tsegai and Yohanes Abraham expressed satisfaction with engaging in the joint venture which focused on sustainability of potable water supply in the village and extending support to needy nationals. They also pointed out that they are in a position to come up with the right understanding as regards the importance of soil and water conservation on the basis of such exposure.
